Wendel Clement - Mentor

If you can't fix it make it a feature.

Unorthodox but eventful best describes Wendel’s career path. After completing Secondary School he studied Telecommunications Engineering at John Donaldson Technical Institute in Trinidad & Tobago. Then after spending 3 years working at Textel Communications, Wendel migrated to the U.S. to pursue his BSc in Electrical Engineering (Telecoms) at Rutgers University in New Jersey, USA. With the advent of integrated services, Wendel worked at several high technology firms including Nortel Networks where he worked in both Product Development and R&D.

His final assignment with Nortel was with the UK's largest Cable Telecoms operator Telewest where as Corporate Director of Engineering he headed up the engineering team that rolled out cable, Internet and digital TV services. Five years later he then took up a similar role at one of the largest Pan European Telecoms providers with responsibilities for engineering teams across Europe.

In 2003 after gaining valuable experience in large corporate technical management, Wendel made a major shift into the entrepreneurial world. He acquired Campbell's of London, a high-end handmade picture framing and Art Gallery business (framers for several Royal Families in Europe and the Middle East). At the same time he started PoisonUK Events, a Caribbean entertainment company and made investments in property in the Caribbean and the Middle East. His path has afforded him the rare opportunity of seeing several facets in the world of business.
