Karen Ramdhanie – Leadership, Technical

Karen Ramdhanie is an experienced Wall Street Corporate Attorney who worked in the New York offices of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Clifford Chance (US) LLP, two of the largest law firms in the world.

Over the years, she represented Fortune 100 clients on numerous US billion dollar financing transactions, including project financing, corporate financing and structured financing. She has worked with or against Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, Chase, and Standard and Poor’s. In any one given year she drafted and negotiated all documentation on transactions in the secondary market raising over US$29 billion to finance her clients' need. She also advises clients in the entertainment and fashion industries, in mergers and acquisitions deals, and real estate development and management transactions both in the US and the Caribbean.

Karen’s entrepreneurial spirit is demonstrated in the acquisition and management of a privately held real estate holding company, as well as the ownership of several privately owned companies, trusts and foundations. She is the Executive Director of Jesus Can Help Foundation, a foundation through which she gives back to improvised communities. She is also the Founder of NYTechInclusion, a virtual company aimed at preparing minority technologist gain access to Silicon Valley venture capital funding.

In addition to her US law degree (Juris Doctorate) where she graduated Magna Cum Laude, Karen holds a Legal Education Certificate (LEC) from Hugh Wooding Law School. As such, she is licensed and experienced to practice law in New York and throughout the Commonwealth Caribbean. She also holds a B.A. majoring in Economics and worked as an Economist with NIHERST in Trinidad and Tobago, and an M.B.A.in Finance and Investment and has worked as a Financial Adviser and Business Development Consultant in New York.

Karen brings 25 years of expertise in economics, finance, and business, an astute understanding of business protocol in the US and the Caribbean, and well-honed international legal negotiation and drafting skills.
